Lorenzo Soules

The 19 year old Lorenzo Soules began his musical and piano studies at the age of three. His first teacher was Thierry Barbier in the Saint-Malo Conservatory. He continued his studies with Jean Fassina in Paris, Olivier Gardon in the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris CNR, Jean-Claude Pennetier in the Saint-Jean-de-Luz Festival and Alicia de Larrocha with whom he worked on the integral Iberia from Isaac Albeníz. In 2005, he finished his musical cursus in the Paris Conservatory, where he obtained the Piano First Prize, as well as the Chamber Music and Musical Analisis First Prizes with the Ysaye-Quartett and Professor Alain Louvier. He then entered the Hochschule für Musik Köln in the class of Professor Pierre-Laurent Aimard and Tamara Stefanovich. He has won Piano Competitions as the Concours Européen de Picardie and Concours International Maison Laffite. He is also laureate of the Concours International Piano Campus and winner of the Ravel-Prize of the Académie-Ravel of Saint-Jean-de-Luz. He has given concerts in Los Angeles, in the Leiria and Castelo Branco Festivals (Portugal), Paris, Barcelona, in the Klavier-Festival-Ruhr and Cologne among others. Moreover, he has been soloist with the Saint-Malo Orchestra and the Ensemble Orchestral de Paris.
