Program note

A feature of this work is the quickness and lightness. Lood is a phonetic variation of “loud”. I am interested in creating a shifting texture containing several sound dimensions: we hear the noise of the clarinet keys (as a percussion instrument) mixed with the air and real sound. I am also interested in the clarinet dark color projection in the lower register; for me, it is like a line of sonic color that takes off upward. Regularity and irregularity, density and lightness, are at the center of this piece, while the electronics follows the instrument like a comet tail. The electronic is like a shadow, moving around the clarinet.
