Benjamin Isaacs - Grande Bretagne
I want to write a book like a cloud that changes as it goes he said
I want to write a book like a cloud that changes as it goes he said s’inscrit dans la continuité de mon intérêt pour une construction à un niveau local et une fragilité significatives.
I want to write a book like a cloud that changes as it goes he said continues a trend in my work toward significant local-level construction and fragility. This is a music of “almost”: the gestural flickering and fidgeting persistently fails to escape its registral and dynamic constraints, a small number of linear shapes are exhausted but never transformed, and the performers’ bows move too slowly to maintain clear and stable tones, obscuring the predominantly canonic and repetitious nature of the material. Furthermore, the canons and repetitions are themselves finely graduated, existing in both strict form and vague outline as well as in several guises between these extremes. The result is a rather ambiguous and ill-defined web of obsessive and strenuous patterning.
