Overton - Decorrelated Spatial Synthesis

From the same archive

Decorrelated Spatial Synthesis involves the addition of classical synthesizer parts to spatial coordinates, and establishes a correlation between synthesis parameters and spatial positions. For each polyphony voice, each section of the synthesis (e.g. oscillators, filters, amplifiers, envelopes) is multiplied and becomes a new entity: VCSOs (with an « S » for « Spatial ») are Voltage Controlled Spatial Oscillators, and contain multiple VCOs. These entities are controlled by two new high-level entities called VCSS (for Voltaged Controlled Spatial Spread) and SCS fo (Spatial Coordinates Synthesis).

Overton is an instrument that uses this particular synthesis model. Programmed with Max, it uses spat5.
