George Christofi

Né en 1983, George Christofi a terminé son cursus à l'Université de Hull avec un premier prix à l'unanimité pour la composition et a obtenu un master avec distinction à l'Université de York. Il a suivi la 18ème session « Voix Nouvelles » de la Fondation Royaumont et, cette année, il a complété son cursus à l'académie de l'Ircam à Glasgow. Ses œuvres ont été jouées par différents ensembles et solistes : le clarinettiste Harry Sparnaay, le violoncelliste Rohan de Saram, l'Ensemble Gemini, les Jeunes voix du Rhin… Born in 1983, George Christofi is completed his Undergraduate studies at the University of Hull with a First Class Honours winning a prize for his high results and academic excellence. Having finished his Masters in Composition with Distinction at the University of York. Last year, he was a fellow at the 18th Composition Course - Voix Nouvelles 2007 of the Fondation Royaumont and this year he completed an IRCAM ACADEMY course in Glasgow. George's music has been performed in Belgium, England, France, Germany, Greece, Japan, Spain and broadcast by the BBC Radio 3.
