- This version of the electronic part is created on the basis of the transfert-boites version (ADAT re-recording).
According to Stanley Haynes (Report on the realization of York Höller’s “Arcus”, in «Contemporary Music Review» 1/1), the original master of the electronic part was on analog tape.
The analysis of the ADAT audio signal has shown different problems: besides the tipically analogical noises (es. clicks, low frequency noises caused by splices), different "digital tape" issues are found (DC-offset, dithering, clicks etc.). A research in the IRCAM archive evidenced some possible original master tapes: 22B, 22C and 22D. It is suggested to plan a digitization of these tapes with new technology (96 kHz 24 bit). A professional 1/2" 4-track tape recorder and a DBX module are required.

Audio setup
Loudspeaker setup
There is no indications about the loudspeaker setup in the score preserved at IRCAM. Nevertheless, according to the annotations found on the cases of the original tapes this is how it is supposed to be:
Software installation
This patch require Max MSP v.6; the interface must be set at 48 kHz.

An additional patch with the original channel test is added to the .dmg archive.
